Our History

history

We are the Boy Scouts of America Troop 354 of Port Jefferson Station, NY. We’ve been in existence since February 1st, 1968. We were chartered by the benevolent and protective Order of the Elks lodge #2138 until 2024, and we are since chartered by the Norwood School Association. We’ve been a thriving troop for 56 years assisting over 50 scouts in achieving the highest rank in scouting (Eagle Scout rank.) This is due to our extremely experienced leadership. Robert Pearsall has been leading the troop since 1997.

Our 30 plus scouts meet at the Comsewogue School District, Clinton Avenue Elementary School every Monday night from 7:30 to 9:00pm. We are a very active troop engaging in various community service events such as Calverton flag placement and pickup, Elks flag day ceremony at the Atria in Setauket, the Comsewogue High School flag ceremony, local beach cleanups and so many more activities (please see our calendar for more information.) We are always looking forward to seeing new faces every year and we hope you may be one of them. If you have any questions about our troop or would like more information, please use the contact us page and we’ll get right back to you.

Sincerely,
Troop 354
