DESCRIPTION:The Elks Flag Day Ceremony at the Long Island State Veteran’s home in Stony Brook is this Wednesday at 2:30 pm in the afternoon.  The boys will carry in some flags during the ceremony.  It will last about an hour and a half\, and this is a class A uniform event\, and it counts as community service for rank advancement.  Please let me know if you and/or your youth can attend.

SUMMARY:Flag Retirement ceremony
DESCRIPTION:I have received confirmation from Mr. Mosca at the high school that we’re approved to conduct the Flag Retirement ceremony on June 14th at 6:30pm. Of course\, we will love to have the Troop join us and work with the Cubs on the proper folding and safe placement of flags on the fire. \nFlag collection bins have been. Placed at each of the school buildings\, but I don’t yet know how full these are. If you have\, or know of any local flags that may be ready for retirement\, we will gladly take as many as we can. \nI plan to connect with leaded from Pack 120\, and local Girl Scout Units so that all local Scouts know they are welcome to participate with us. Liz is also already aware\, and is welcome to spread the word. \n
