DESCRIPTION:We have an Eagle Court of Honor scheduled for this next Sunday for Jake Lopez\, Rickey Rennard\, Colin Cipriani\, and Ethan Nosenchuk.  We really need the boys help with this.  It’s a pay it forward thing.  We want the boys there to help the Eagles celebrate their accomplishment.  This is a Class A uniform event.  There will be bagels\, coffee\, and drinks served starting at 11:30 am and the ceremony should start at 12:00 noon.  It will last for about two hours.  Please have the boys try to make it\, and the parents are welcome also to see how we celebrate when they make the Eagle Rank.  We could also use some help with setting up the lodge that morning.  I’m going to set a tentative time of 9:00 am for that and send out email later to confirm.

DESCRIPTION:I have received confirmation from Mr. Mosca at the high school that we’re approved to conduct the Flag Retirement ceremony on June 14th at 6:30pm. Of course\, we will love to have the Troop join us and work with the Cubs on the proper folding and safe placement of flags on the fire. \nFlag collection bins have been. DESCRIPTION:BSA Troop 354 ASM Mr. Reed has graciously agreed to run a Sculpture Merit badge session on Saturday May 13th\, 11:45 a.m. till about 2:00 or 2:30 pm.  It will be at the Long Island Art and Carriage House Museum in Stony Brook.  Directions are below.  The youths will be completing all the merit badge on this day if we don’t have wet weather.  If it’s wet\, we will do the tour of the sculptures that day with umbrellas\, and do the lesson & clay work on another day\, probably at one of our Monday night meetings.  Pray for no rain!  The youths will be touring the art in the East grounds.  Mr. Reed will be talking with them to finish up the badge\, and they will be working with some clay to create their own sculptures.  We will have soda and pizza at some point also.  The cost will be $15.00 per youth.  Bring the money with you that day.  We will be across the road on the Eastern grounds.  There is a flier attached.  All of these activities will be outside\, so if it is cool that day bring warm enough clothes.  If it’s wet\, bring umbrellas because we will be doing at least the tour of the grounds that day.  The youths should bring a smock or older clothes because they will be working with clay.  The tickets we get are for the youths and this will allow them to tour the grounds and go into the carriage house museum.  Adults will be allowed to be with the youths outside when touring the grounds\, but it will cost them $10.00 for the adult tickets to tour the carriage museum. \nPlease let me know by Monday evening 5/8 if your youth and/or you will be attending.  Bring the money with you the day of the trip. \nDirections; \nTake Nicolls Road all the way north to the end which is 25A.  Make a left\, and go to the end\, about a mile\, make a left and then another quick left and the parking lot is just past the building on the left.  Don’t park on the West side of the road so we don’t have to deal with crossing that busy road. \nBSA-Sculpture Merit Badge Announcement_new
