SUMMARY:Southhaven Council Camporee - 100th Anniversary
DESCRIPTION:Good Afternoon and Happy New Year Suffolk County Council! \nAs many of you know 2019 represents the 100th anniversary of our Scouting Council. We have many activities lined up to celebrate our 100 years of service but our marquee event takes place May 3-5 at Southaven County Park as we gather for our largest camporee ever – the 100th Anniversary Camporee! \nThis camporee will bring together nearly 5000 Scouts\, Scouters and dignitaries from Suffolk County – all for one reason…  to celebrate our first 100 years and to launch positively into our second century.  We will have the most robust program available for Boy Scouts / Scouts BSA\, Cub Scouts\, Venturers and Explorers.  The event will be landmark in nature as we host a full fledged carnival on Friday night and Sunday afternoon.  Rides and concessions for all ages! \nAttached to this email is your space reservation form.  The Leaders Guide will first be made available at your January roundtable and will be sent electronically on January 14th.  There will be regular communication and updates about this gala event and we hope to see each and every one of you there. \nAs always\, please let us know if you have any questions or if we can help with anything. \nYours in Scouting and Centennial Celebration. \nSteve Kesner                      Dave Colford                      Jim Grimaldi\nCamporee Co-Chair           Camporee Co-Chair           Staff Advisor
